The one thing that Internet Explorer is still missing is a spell checker. Not sure why they haven’t added one, but it is an important feature to have, especially if you do any type of blogging or writing online.
Anyway, the good news is that a spell check add-on does exist for Internet Explorer – ieSpell. It has been around for quite sometime, it is lightweight and free. So if you need any type of spell checking in your browser, grab this download.
How to Install Spell Checking for IE
Installation is pretty easy. Just visit the link below and follow the download. You can save the file or select to run.
The installer provides a very simple wizard. Just accept the agreement and then click “Install” when you see the following:

After the installation is complete, you will see a message with details on how to use ieSpell.

As you can see, you can use ieSpell in various ways. You can check spelling on a page simply be selecting Tools -> ieSpell.
If you want to configure the various options, select Tools -> ieSpell Options

If you run the spell checker, it will work in a similar way to other spell checkers you are probably familiar with, such as MS Word. Try it out, it’s very cool.
